Burning Oaks Woodworking Whiskey Smokers

A whiskey smoker is used to infuse your drink with a smokey flavor. Whiskey is currently the most popular spirit to use but you can use it on any liquor. Pro Tip: smoke your vodka and use it in a Bloody Mary 👍  Anyhow, they’re quite straightforward to use as you can see in the video; pour your spirit, place the smoker on your glass, add a pinch or two of shavings into the cup, use a butane lighter or brûlée torch to shoot fire into the cup. You’ll soon see smoke dropping into your drink, the more smoke you add and the longer you allow it to stay in there, the smokier your drink will be.

Our whiskey smokers are made of white oak, we went with this because whiskey is aged in white oak barrels. We also decided to double down on the white oak and make our shavings out of used white oak whiskey barrel staves in which whiskey was previously aged. These shavings are quite boozy and smell amazing when you burn them.
